Citroen C5 (SpyShots)

Although extremely well clad in protective covering, the grill of this car gives the game away. You can just make out the double slats and chevrons signifying there’s a Citroen under there.

This is the new C5, code-name X7 – much wider, lower, and aggressive than the outgoing car, it seems Citroen are really looking to take the fight to Ford’s new good-looking Mondeo. Despite sharing engines, gearboxes and other components with the Peugeot 407, the revitalised C5 will look totally different, as our illustration shows. Expect exciting changes to the interior, too – including twin LCD display screens and a fixed hub steering wheel. Official unveiling is likely to take place at the Frankfurt motorshow in the Autumn
